Menard County Public Health
All divisions of the Menard Health Department work together to assure the health and safety of our county's residents. However, the role of the Public Health Division focuses on prevention and education through various health programs. These programs vary widely from screening newborns to AIDS testing to controlling the outbreak of infectious diseases and the collection and evaluation of health statistics .  Fees for children's immunizations - through age 18 - are $13.00. Family Case Management: Prenatal and pediatric case management provides information and follow-up for children, pregnant women, and their families. Case Management includes the following:

Assistance in obtaining a temporary medical card through the Medicaid presumptive eligibility (MPE) program for pregnant woman
Assistance with the state's All Kids application                   

Process in obtaining the state's All Kids health insurance for all children and families who qualify                

Assistance in finding a physician
Referral to other social services agencies
Healthy kids provider working with the Department of Human Services and Department of Public Health to see that all eligible "kids" get their immunizations, assessments and screenings in a timely fashion and on schedule

Women, Infants & Children (W.I.C.): The W.I.C. program is a supplemental food program designed to promote and help provide good nutrition for guardians or pregnant, postpartum, or lactating women, as well as infants and children up to five years of age. You may be certified to receive W.I.C. food instruments (coupons) if you meet financial Guidelines of USDA and have an identified medical or nutritional risk.
