In existence since 1966, the Menard County Health Department (MCHD) is located in historic Petersburg. The mission of the Menard County Health Department is to provide the citizens of Menard County with a healthful environment that is conducive to physical, mental, and emotional health and safety. Essential to fulfilling this mission is to provide the residents of our county with the information and support necessary to encourage life-style behaviors that help maintain good health and well-being.
