Knitting Club Donates to American Society Resource Center
A special thank you to our local knitting club, the Knit Chicks for their generous donation of chemo caps to the Menard County Health Department’s Cancer Resource Center. The caps were presented to the Menard County Health Department during October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and are available in various sizes and beautiful colors. The chemo caps help keep a patient’s head warm while enduring chemotherapy treatment, and are available at no cost. Linda Williams is pictured above presenting the caps to Jan Dedert, RN. To view the products of this special group of talented ladies, please go to the Health Department’s website www.menardchd.org. The members are of the “Knit Chicks” are Linda Williams, Penny Newton, Donna Hitchcock, Lettie Diekroeger, Beth Youle, Cheryl Sugent, Joann Morris and two (2) very nice ladies that wanted to remain anonymous. The generous donation and the time and talent these ladies spent making a difference in chemotherapy patients is greatly appreciated. The chemo caps have already begun keeping heads warm. THANKS AGAIN LADIES!
